Hunting Bill Defeated

Henry | 26.10.2004 18:30

The House of Lords has backed a compromise move to allow registered hunting.

Voting was 322 to 72 , majority 250 on the Hunting Bill.

Wonderfull news for all concerned.

As we predicted this bill was more about diverting attention from the real issues than any government interest in Hunting. No Minister could be found to talk about the threat to use the Parliment Act and Tony Blair's comments today that he favoured a licenced Hunt approach was the hint the Labour Lords needed.
