TRAINING for ACTION presents:

Introduction to Training Skills for Activists

Monday 8 November in Edinburgh
9.30am arrival, 10.00am start - 5.00pm end

A free day long workshop for anyone interested in running workshops, training sessions or meetings for activists and the wider community.

This is an introduction to Training Skills for Activists covering:

~How to plan and do: workshops, training sessions, short gatherings and meetings
~Tools for making sessions enjoyable, inclusive and effective
~Practising skills and sharing experiences with other activists
~Skills for working without leaders, communication within groups, accessibility and ways to increase participation
~Planning how to support each other beyond this day.

Food - please bring to share.
Accommodation - if you need a place to stay the night before or after please let us know.
Access – please get in touch if you have any special needs or want to know about access details for the venues.

PRACTICAL - INSPIRING - SUPPORTIVE

Part of TRAINING for ACTION - A series of training days for activists on topics including:
~Training Skills
~Groupwork skills
~Action skills
~Legal support skills

To help prepare ourselves for action at the G8 summit in Gleneagles next July (and actions before and beyond!)

You are: wanting to share your skills with others involved in activism and campaigning, and willing to pass on your experiences.

We are: a group of activists who have given a number and variety of trainings over the last years.
