Mass e-mail action - Oppose the homophobic EU Justice Commissioner

A new EU Commission is currently being assembled. Amongst the nominated members of the commission is Rocco Buttiglione, candidate for Justice Commissioner, who has been reported as saying that he considers homosexuality to be "a sin". Furthermore, he believes that the aim of marriage is "to allow women to have children and to have the protection of a male".

These kind of views have no place in a 21st century EU Commission. To prevent Buttiglione from becoming part of the new EU Commission, act now!

Write to the new EU Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso:

Write to the new UK Commission member, Peter Mandelson:
 peter.mandelson@cec.eu.int

Ask them to prevent Rocco Buttiglione from taking on any role within the new EU Commission. Ask that another candidate be considered for this role.
