Love to dance in the streets?
Appreciate the energy and strength samba can give a crowd?
Want to reclaim public space, support worthy causes at legal
demos, or defy an authoritarian police ban on political samba?
Enjoy playing drums, or dressing in crazy beautiful costumes?

...THIS IS FOR YOU... :)

Breach Of The Peace - Oxford's radical samba band - The Rebirth

Thursday 21st October (that's this thursday)
7pm @ The Half Moon (pub on St Clement's Road, near the Plain)

A meeting to discuss where we can get or fundraise for drums,
and hopefully to relaunch BoP as a beautiful samba collective.
(Sadly, this is not a rehearsal - but if no-one comes there
never will be any!).

Bring ideas, enthusiasm and/or chocolate!

Background
----------
Thames Valley Police are doing their best to supress political samba
on Oxford's streets. So far they've been somewhat sucessful - we have
no drums and have lapsed into inactivity. But a comeback *is* possible,
given enough people and energy... it's up to us!

Get involved
------------
If you can't make the meeting, you can join our email list here:
 http://lists.riseup.net/www/subrequest/oxford-rhythms-of-resistance
...to find out more about the history of the band and contribute to its future...

A final note
------------
For those who don't fancy risking arrest, there will be plenty of
legal demos well worth playing on - for example the regular campsfield
events.

Love and freedom! :)
