I'd said that I understood that he'd no doubt have ideological differences with Indymedia, being a Tory MP, but that I hoped he'd agree how important free speech is in any democracy (MPs like to think we live in a democracy). And he seemed to take this on board.

MPs will hassle David Blunket about this on our behalf if we ask them to.

I know it's not as fun as (I imagine) throwing bricks through McDonald's window but we do want the Home Office to know they can't get away with this kind of thing without people at least kicking up a fuss.
