Um, I think the title of this post should have said 'Rampart ESF Programme'.

Rampart are a bunch of thoughtless spammers

Ramparts can fuck right off as far as I and many others are concerned. They subscribed a whole bunch of people and organisations to their mailing list without so much as a by-your-leave and it's impossible to get off despite repeated requests from many increasingly angry people who are fed up with being spammed into oblivion.

Fuck your program of events - sort out your spam list first.

spammers?

I think you are talking about the European Creative Forum who buggered up their own mailing list due to lossing a password and borrowed an unused list regisitered to the rampart in order to send out one mailing (using the addresses from their own mailing list). The list was not correctly configured so whenever somebody wrote to ask to be removed from the list it went to everybody on that list.

The incident had nothing to do with the rampART. The rampART mailing list contains only those people who have put their address down on signup sheets at the rampART on signed up themselves online. The rampART list consists on average of just one email each week (occasionally two and sometimes none).
