THE WOMBLES ARE A WASTE OF TIME

13.10.2004 12:54

Didn't the W.O.M.B.L.E.S split during the Afghan war because half of them supported it because the Taliban oppressed women?

This group is a joke, it has no roots with ordinary people and is mainly middle class drop-outs play acting at taking on the state.

Durruti

Eh?

13.10.2004 16:38

Wrong Durutti.

1./ WOMBLES doesn't have a 'membership' as such.
2./ What split?
3./ Don't recall anybody supporting the war on Afghanistan nor the Taliban - I think you will find that will have been the Labour Party, The Conservatives, The US, German and UK states etc etc.
4./ Fuck off :-)

Working class wife beater

For what its worth...

some womble type people espoused the view that the logical extension of a 'no war but the class war' is that 'anti-imperalism' is a cop-out and means that focussing on the imperialists means you are letting the bourgeoisie in Afghanistan or wherever off the hook. I wouldn't characterise this as them supporting the war, even though I do think it is an aburd position to take

anti-imperialist

what is the point of having seperate meetings

who the hell do the wombles think they are going to relate to with their so called ESF beyond????.

while there will be 20,000 plus odd people at the ESF, the wombles will be talking to themselves. surely it would be better to attend the ESF with your propaganda and attempt to recruit people to your ideas.

do the wombles honestly think that they know it all? do they not think they cannot learn a thing from the people who will attend the ESF. after all, the people who have been involved in activities against the system surely have experiences and learnt lessons in the battle against capitalism.

if i go to the wombles ESF beyond, what will a learn from the wombles struggles, fuck all.
what contribution have the wombles made to the movement, fuck all.

the wombles run the risk of having a reputation for arragance, sectrianism and stupidity
