On Saturday 16 Oct at 8pm in East Oxford Community CentreOxford PSC is organising a screening of ARNA'S CHILDREN, a film by Juliano Mer Khamis and Danniel Danniel. This will be followed by a special appearance by the director.
An award winning documentary about the remarkable Arna Mer Kharmis,
an Israeli woman who opened an alternative education system for the
Palestinian children of the West Bank.
Juliano, who today is a leading Palestinian actor, looks back in time in
Jenin, trying to understand the choices made by the children he loved and
worked with.
Shifting back and forth in time, the film reveals the tragedy and horror of
lives trapped by the circumstances of the Israeli occupation.
