Do you have a short film, documentary or animation concerning environmental campaigning or social change?

Welcome...

BEyONdTV is a unique blend of music, short movies, dance, subverts, animations and inspiring documentary, top Visual Jockeys and other media artistry. We're now celebrating our 5th annual festival, and this year's event promises to be the brightest yet. This is a volunteer-run non-profit event.

BEyONdTV screens the latest documentaries, community video and animations from the world's most radical producers which are overlooked by mainstream broadcasters.

The programme so far (subject to change) is:

Friday 19th November 2004

6pm: Reach for the Sky - Premier screening about the rise and fall of Swansea airport.

7.30pm: Learn to Dance - Energise yourself!

9pm: Seize the Day - Rightful winners of Radio 3's world music awards; humorous, cheeky and very lively songsters.

10.30pm-midnight: music and mesmerising visuals from Revelation GoGo Broadcasting.


Saturday 20th November

Midday: workshop on distributing your own news.

2pm: opening ceremony.
Granny went to Palestine: a Swansea woman seeks the truth in the Middle East.
Wife Swap: Swansea stars of the Channel 4 series tell their own story about TV (presented by Larch and Emily Jukes-Maxey).
I was here: can we learn anything from people facing their own demise?
Plus music videos, animations and short films.

4.30pm: international films and animations from around the world including:
Cows with Guns: a Norwegian animator gets radically bovine.
Tasmanian Holiday: a backpacker can’t see the woods for the chainsaws in Oz.
Tibet Stories: a presentation on how Himalayan residents told their own stories via participatory video (presented by Nick Lunch).
Plus much more...

6-7pm: dinner

7-10.30pm:
Tax: how British people withheld their tax in protest against the Iraq War.
Get up Sit down!: Swansea students get active over cuts to their education.
CCTV: a woman makes her movie from surveillance cameras.
The Corporation: Nutcase or Saint? What sort of person would a corporation make? Starring Michael Moore and Naomi Klein (No Logo).

10.30pm til late:
Beautiful video visuals from VJ Coresenfx, with music and cosy atmosphere.
