on a more positive note, the anti-road protest movement, emerging as it did at the time a wider anti-capitalist movement gave energy and impetus to such as reclaim the streets which in turn gave energy and impetus to such as peoples global action which in turn gave energy and impetus to such as direct confrontation to capitalism which in turn gives energy and impetus to just about anything of any real reckoning that occurs in the struggles confronted today.

nor an airport expansion stopped either. one or two planned quarry expansions delayed or totally stopped. thats about it folks!
anti-nuclear campaigners have about as much sucess rate (including greenham common), workers who strike very rarely achieve the conditions and pay they desire and/or deserve. further to which genetiX, nanothechnology and big brother reckoning are very much upon us. we might as well give it all up straight away, so would the last person leaving please turn out the light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

personally, i prefer RAVES though it would be great if they could evolve a more festival type happening, diversity a spice of life.
