On 30th Sep there was a small party to celebrate the end of the Single Regeneration Budget Scheme better known as East Oxford Action. If nothing else this organisation will be remembered for starting and developing the Cowley Road Carnival but there are very many other activities which have happened under its guidance.
This however is not the end. East Oxford Action is alive and well to ensure that the progress made will continue and not fade out. It is a trading organisation and offers skills such as the famous Mapping Matters technique which brought the Cowley Road the special £1million from the Government to improve this road for all users.
