What were the real reasons for war? What did the anti-war movement achieve? Should we call for the troops to leave? Who are the resistance?

"Why War?" is another film from the makers of "Not in My Name".

It features Noam Chomsky, John Pilger, Greg Palast, George Galloway and others.

After the film their will be a short talk and the opportunity for questions and answer.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

EHAB BESAISSO is a writer born in Gaza in Occupied Palestine.

Involved in media studies in the Arab world, he contributed the the chapter, 'Al Jazeera and the War in Afghanistan: A Delivery / System or a Mouthpiece' to a book on the Al-Jazeera phenomenon published by Pluto Press.

A collection of his poetry, "The Albatross of the blurred skyline" was recently published in Beirut.

HUW WILLIAMS is a well known activist and organiser for Blackwood Coalition to Stop the War. He is also a UNISON steward and local government worker.

He is well known as an orator and debater, for instance last year he debated Dan Touhig, Labour MP on the war in Iraq
