Eight anti-GM protestors are in court today (Tues 28th Sept). We will be appearing before Harlow magaistrates court in Essex. The charges we face result from our non-violent blockade of Sainsbury's giant Waltham Point distribution centre on the M25 Essex / London borders.

This blockade was part of a nationwide night of blockades which closed all six of Sainsbury's major distribution centres around the country. We were protesting against Sainsbury's continued use of milk from GM fed dairies, breaking its pledge to its customers not to use GM products in its food.
The appearance at Harlow magistrates court will be a plea hearing and represents the start of the court case, which will probably then continue in weeks or months time.
The protesters face charges of aggravated trespass and breaching section 5 of the public order act.
Five of the protesters are from Colchester and three are from London. Solidarity will be most welcome!
