Millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money are being passed over to private companies by your council. Article today Monday 27 September 2004 in THE DAILY TELEGRAPH page 32
How much do YOU pay to have your council rubbish bin being cleaned?
Is it done properly? How many times a month is it actually done?
Are YOU happy enough with their services?

PUDDLE OF BLOOD LEFT UNCLEANED IN BRENT, Kilburn High Road, for days

BRENT Council utterly appalling.
Many residents in Brent North-West London are complaining about the Council not fulfilling their duty as regards of hygiene. The imposed wheelie bins are not too big, and much worst are not empty every week as it should be.
Many articles about the ways Brent Council did cover up their own contractor Onyx had been published. At least several times every year. Sometimes making the front pages.
I can remember around Christmas last year a puddle of blood was left uncleaned in Kilburn High Road, for four days after a stallholder was attacked. It was on the radio and also in the papers.
In January this year, residents and traders were outraged when roads were not gritted, despite several days advanced warning of snow.
Many more people have complained to the One Stop Shop. Unfortunately, most of these complaints are thrown into the bin by the Brent Council staff who don’t want to know.
The millions of pounds taken away from the taxpayers are being siphoned off.
