This is a pic from a critial mass bike ride during the FTAA protests in miami - taken from video just before the cops shoot the people on the sidewalk right next to them. Hmmm this is not a good idea.

in trials, as the bbc says...

"Since 1 April 2004 the IPCC has received 12 referrals of incidents in which Tasers were used by the Metropolitan Police Service, in addition to two referrals from Lincolnshire Police.

A Home Office spokesman said Taser weapons have been fired during 27 incidents in England and Wales since April 2003."

The police that is. Having a weapon that incapacitates ppl stight of, cause lots of pain and fits neetly into a handy poket.

I wonder how many shots/shocks befor its considered police brutality?
