In my fair experience of meetings of such type, the Chair is usually some kind of Socialist (worker) type and discussion is NOT really discussion or even allowed unless you appear to be a fellow comrade socialist or your face fits.....otherwise!!...
By the way.. I agree with bringing home the troops... all troops from abroad/overseas, PARTICULARLY Iraq, a country where there never should have been/never should be UK/British troops at all.
