Survey statistics on Housing released this week from the `ODPM` shows that there are higher levels of Overcrowding, Joblessness & Low income on council housing estates, err sorry in `Social Housing`. So what’s new in these results? Well the purpose they will be put too.

The national housing federation quick to put in its pennyworth has said “this highlights the need for increased investment in affordable housing” and then goes on to defend `Housing Associations`. Cant you see the pound signs lighting up in these guys eyes and while wiping away their dribbles over these results they will justify every news release and lobbyist approach to government as them being `Socially Responsible` Landlords.

Yeah right as a council tenant paying £45 quid a week rent (in the Northeast) for a house that has seen better days, I’m just jumping for joy at the prospect of getting a few jobs done for an increase in rent to £90 quid a week. Now while claiming housing benefit because I’m on a low income the status quo of getting some benefit out of this looks good but hang on I forgot about the `Flat Rate Benefit` legislation that is kicking in, shit I’m up the creek now (A hidden Poll Tax on a working class lad and if not this a Tax on being poor).

Jumping all over the results was also the `Local Government Association`, now to be kind they have criticised the central government over policy on housing but lets not forget the gits still represent councillors many of whom support the whole agenda of `Privatisation`. Their take on the results was to overtly `Characterise` council estates as places of concentrated disadvantage & exclusion and then pushed the communities plan.

For fuck sake the basic fact is the only concentrated disadvantage & exclusion all of us get is from the gits that have their heads up their professional arses and the politicos self interested aggrandisement from serving again the arse end of humanity.

The mean estates of exclusion & concentrated disadvantage are not as they are painted and the purposes of such surveys only highlight the competitive pendulum of interested parties to a share we all know that we will not get.

To all Activists the threat of exclusion & disadvantage has to be remoulded into a concentrated message of `Taking back what is Ours`, without the poncified rhetoric of empowerment or doing workshops. This lost message abdicated to just getting a share or put down to testosterone fuelled provardo is already the fuel of squatted social centres. Is it so hard to imagine 3 million squatted council houses? `Squat & Block Privatisation` a headache financially for the government (100 million a Month) and what can the pigs do. A revolutionary answer against the subservience of the few!
