A 19-year-old appeared in court this week accused of the desecration of a Jewish cemetery in Birmingham.
More than 60 graves were smashed or knocked over in the Witton cemetery on August 22 causing an estimated £100,000 worth of damage.
On Wednesday Simon Johnston, appeared at Sutton Coldfield magistrates court charged with racially aggravated criminal damage.
Co-defendant 24-year-old Carl Jones, has been jointly charged with Johnston with three counts of racially aggravated public disorder and abusive behaviour.
The pair are accused of making racist comments and monkey noises at three black people and an Asian police officer on the day the desecration was discovered.
The case was referred to Birmingham crown court. Johnston was remanded in custody and Jones was granted bail until 29 September.
