Over 50 "eminent international scientists" recently voted Blade Runner best ever sci-fi film. A meaningless fact given that the opinions of eminent scientists are so easily bought, except that city planning officers, when they're not giving away public parks, also seem to be using the film as an urban development model.

i quite liked that film!

dont underestimate the power of sci-fi, a significant number of teenagers choose degree's in science purely because they were inspired by watching/reading sci-fi stuff (me included!).

ps: i would have ranked T2 as my all time movie, and "neuromancer" by w.gibson as the greatest sci-fi book of all time.

pps: what does everyone else think? trolls need not post.
