Rising Tide, the Climate Justice Campaign, has organised a Network Gathering at the Sumac Centre in Nottingham on the Weedend of the 1st - 3ed of October 2004. It costs £15 - £35, depending on what you can afford, and has an exciting list of workshops and events. The event is focussed on building UK Climate Justice network.

The Rising Tide Network Gathering in Nottingham will have workshops on The Colombia Solidarity Campaign, The Science Of Climate Change, Non Violent Direct Action, media skills, Oil, War and Climate Change, The G8, Eco-Housing, Anti-Airport Expansion, Theatre of the Oppressed, 4 X 4's and lots of other things related to Climate Change Campaigning. There is also space to run your own workshop, so the programme is far from finalised.

They are providing crash pad accomodation (sleeping on floors) and vegetarian food, a creceh will be provided if needed. There will be a cabaret on the theme of Climate Justice put on by people attending the event.

They are looking for early bookings to make the event more managable. To find out more contact Rising Tide by e-mailing them at  info@risingtide.org.uk or phone John on 01865 241 097.

What, is Rising Tide critiquing the Colombian Solidarity Campaign?

I presume this workshop is about BP and indigenous communities in Colombia
