The San Francisco Independent Media Center has been allowed to resume operations but under the condition that it be supervised by the Department of Homeland Security. this supervision will be conducted passively as not to upset the patronage of this web sight said Special Agent John Linstrum
the members have voluntarily chosen to participate in this program as a condition of their early release. we wish to prevent the misunderstandings that have lead to the increased number of protest activities in the greater San Francisco area.

What does this mean? I see no reference to it on the SF Indymedia site...Anyone know if it's for real or someone trying to discredit SF Indymedia?

Through the recent split of the SF Indymedia collective into SF indymedia and SF Bay Indymedia a lot of tension and arguments and aggression has come up. Best not to believe anything which has an SF(Bay) tag about the SF (Bay) IMC collectives.

Some people still seem to be at war with each other in this political ghetto split.
Indymedia UK will probably try to hide all discrediting posts, but sometimes might be a bit slow.
