Save Deptford Park

Lewisham Council has given the go-ahead for the construction of a 4-storey housing development, along with other buildings, a car park and access road right in the park.
A significant part of Deptford Park is going to be made into a private car park, with a new access road through the park which will run alongside the children's play area, bringing traffic into the heart of the park. Deptford Park is the only open green space between Southwark Park and Greenwich Park in South East London.

Press Release Acrobat file - application/pdf 30K
Deptford Park Residents’ Association (DPRA) was formed in March 2004 by concerned local residents responding to a variety of issues affecting their community, including the plans put forward by Lewisham Council and London & Quadrant to build on Deptford Park. DPRA meets monthly and membership is free.
More than 100 local residents belong and membership is growing steadily. DPRA’s aims are to allow all locals to have their say in improving what is happening in and around Deptford Park for the benefit of the whole community.
