Not true. Marines as a group are defined by their membership of an organisation thats primary purpose is to kill for the profit of a few (the marine corps is not a defensively structured organisation, they are structured to 'project force', i.e. imperialism). By joining, marines declare they are willing to kill on the word of politicians, the least trusted profession in the western world. Thus, to say that 'marines are thugs' is fair comment - it's in their job description.
Muslims however are not defined by action but belief, in a monotheistic deity, Allah, and his prophets, Muhammed, Jesus, Moses etc. Thus to conclude that because some muslims are terrorists, all muslims are terrorists *is* quite wrong, as you correctly point out.
Anyhow, the original article is satirical, perhaps non-news but certainly current given the intense recruitment efforts being made by the marine corps and the rumours of a return to conscription after the next coup, sorry, election. This is a *UK* newswire though . . .
