CodePink UK and friends held a peace vigil on the evening of June 30th at the Edith Cavell statue near Trafalgar Square.
A peace group called the Mama's Brigade in Texas had emailed round asking for other groups around the world to join them in spirit by holding peace vigils on that same evening. Our vigil was inspired by that request. Here are some pics of the event. The young boy in the last two photos was a very enthusiastic member of the public who rushed over to us really keen to get involved. We hope this is just the beginning of his activist career...
