how longs bristol imc been off line?

r | 02.07.2004 06:28 | Repression | Social Struggles

is there any reason why bristol indymedia is offline?

i have tried about 3 or ten links inc from search engines and it just wont load for me... oh well.

also, i have attended the first day of a media independance conference at a california university in the usa today and it was good. lots of different people and such.. and entirely a vol board/ workers coalition and no 'big media' money project. only two years old but very inspiringi will maybe post a review on sunday. with love. and, yesterday the paper here had a special on internet and indy radio stations saying how good they are and for the community and such.. it looked really cool. the story listed about 7 stations and the featured one was somafm. i dunno the url..big love to all indymediamakers. peace and unity

SERVER PROBLEMS

02.07.2004 08:51

BIM being expeeriencing some pretty severe server problems at present, it finally sputtered out altogether at about midnight last night, and is still off now. This happened for an extended period a few days ago too, and anything from 5 minutes to 10 hours of being off-line seems to be the norm right now.

I would suggest that people get into the habit of temporarily migrating to enrager.net when these things happen. (as well as making use of west country indymedia, which is really just filtered from this main U.K thread)

(national enrager.net)

(south west enrager.net)

(west country indymedia)

BIM is now back on-line, but it looks a little shaky,

so don't all rush it at once :o)
