Saturday 3rd July in Endcliffe Park, 12 to 8pm.

A festival of creativity, unity and understanding for peace and solidarity.

Yes, Peace in the Park is back! Following on from the success of last year’s festival, Endcliffe Park will be packed this weekend with all manner of fantastic goings on – a huge range of music, heaps of good food, and a huge array of stalls and activities.

The event aims to bring together people from Sheffield’s diverse communities, to promote peace and solidarity in the world. Money raised will go to Sheffield’s own ASSIST, who work to house and support destitute asylum seekers, and Wateraid.

There will be an art and craft making space, world food, kids area, healing field, open mic, video yurt, a democracy cafe, stalls for information, healing and crafts… and loads more.

Global rhythms and urban grooves dance tents will feature Riddimtion, Sophie T, Aejaz, Moonmonkey, Scragga, Nice Up Chris, DJ Deadman, Pete not Bombs, DJ Disorientalist and more! Live bands will include Bison, No Excuse, Mini Musica, Jumaano, Double Negative and the 1-11 Jazz Band.

Workshops in music, drama, dance, film, poetry, storytelling, making crafts and many other elements of the ‘Arts’ will be present, to be combined in a special daytime event to generate a sense of unity, understanding and inclusion.

Through expressing ourselves we understand each other more. Participation by many local community groups, individuals and small businesses will be the driving force of the event.
