BNP attack travellers

NoEthnicCleansing | 24.06.2004 19:36

All over Essex long-standing traveller camps have been threatened with eviction.Within 3 days of the BNP getting 3 councillors on to Epping Forest Council two traveller families were evicted from a long-standing site. The persecution gets worse.
Meeting at Grand Banks Occupied Social Centre June 28 7.30pm

Throughout Essex the BNP campaigned on a platform of clearing travellers off all private and council land. Families have been under attack, facing eviction where they haven't been already for a while now. This from land that they bought and paid for themselves, in a county that's had traveller sites for generations.
One such site, threatened with eviction, but holding it off for months, saw 2 families thrown out 3 days after 3 fascist councillors got elected in Epping Forest. An old couple on the same site could shortly follow. Ditto another site in the same area.
It's time to step up resistance.
There's a meeting with film of previous evictions and resistance, debate and discussion
(and food) at
Grand Banks Occupied Social Centre,
158 Fortess Road just by Tuffnell Park tube
at 7.30pm Monday June 28.
