Ilan Pappe is known as one of Israel's 'new historians' responsible for
exposing the massive ethnic cleansing of Palestinians carried out by
Zionist forces in 1948-49. He is known for books such as 'The Making of
the Arab-Israeli Conflict' and his most recent 'A History of Modern
Palestine'. He is also one of the most radical critics of his country's
current policy. Dr Issa is a Palestinian specialist on the plight of the
refugees. They will talk about historical and contemporary aspects of
the conflict in what should be an enlightening event.
