What's On

What's On

& What’s Going On With the Early Finish?

We booked the park many months ago, but the pavilion has been double-booked, with someone’s 50th birthday party following the bookfair. This has meant that we have to be all finished and tidied by 6PM, (which is why the talks and music are all on the half hour). We apologize for the unforeseen shortening of the day.

But the fun carries on elsewhere into the night...to be announced on the day.

How To Get There

By Car:

When you get to Norwich get onto the A140 outer ring road and go clockwise. When you've passed ASDA and the big DIY store you'll come to a big junction. Go straight ahead for about 3/4 mile then turn left at the traffic lights, go straight ahead at the small roundabout near the shops. About 1/4 mile down this road there's a phone box on the right. The car park entrance is about 150 yards past this on the right.

By Train:

When you come out of the station cross the road then the river and head up the hill. Continue on this road to the top near the castle then cross to the opposite side when you can see bus stops. This is Castle Meadow (see below), or get a no. 25 bus to either Castle Meadow or St Stephen's Street.

National Express:

This drops you on Theatre street. Head downhill to St Stephen's Street and get a no. 16, 26 or 27 bus to Waterloo Park.

Buses to Waterloo Park:

The number 16 bus goes past the park along Angel road. Catch it either on Castle Meadow or St Stephen's Street and get off when you see the park gates. The stop is half way between the two entrances. From here you will see the Pavilion ahead. It's the big building with three wise monkeys on the roof.

Number 26 or 27 buses go down Aylsham road. Get off at the King Edward pub which is on the right opposite the disused garage. Cross the road, go up Waterloo Park Avenue and as you go into the park take the small path to the right that cuts through the bushes. The pavilion will be on your left. The buses run every half hour on Saturdays.

By Air:

If you can afford to fly to Norwich please come and spend lots of money on our books!
