WSF - A BIG thank you to our sponsors

The Ford Foundation, a large United States philanthropy, supported the World Social Forum’s first three meetings in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Lisa Jordan of Ford Foundation -
"We have made two kinds of contributions to the World Social Forum since it began. First, we have supported the institution itself. Second, we have helped to globalise the forum, to extend its reach beyond Brazil and South America."
When asked if the The Ford Foundation would be supporting future forums Lisa Jordan replied
"That will depend on two things: first, whether the organising committee asks us to; second, our evaluation of the forum as an innovation in global governance".

The very fact that WSF was founded on millions of bucks in funding from the Ford Foundation is dodgey and anyone that says different has a vested interest somewhere else.
As the editor of TomPaine.com once put it " If they don't like what we're doing, we don't get funded next year" - Executive Director John Moyers.
Like it or not the Ford Foundation has molded the WSF into what it is today.

When people start taking 'bribe' money from these b*stards they become corrupt, questions are asked if politicians bleed money from sources like this, start asking questions!
