It was a weekend hosted by Manchester Social Forum for people who were interested in the ideas of or involved with Social Forums throughout the Uk.
As it happened, we had around twenty people turning up. There were people from Calderdale, Iran, Israel and Manchester(which is cheating a bit as most people were based in Manchester but it was still lovely and we had a good time).
In between the good times we had informal political discussion about Israel/Palestine/local SFs/Iran/ESF/whats happening next and other stuff, which just fitted in nicely without having workshops etc.

People chatted, got to know each other, discussed ideas and apart from a burning, broken down van and a sprained ankle, it was a great weekend.

On the last night we built a good fire in the firepit. The interpretative firedance was a joke (but it was actually a good firedance, although not available on video, for copyright - check with the artist, and don't try it at home). I mean the firedance wasn't organised as an event or anything.

unfortunately the video is about 3 seconds long and black because the batteries ran out on my camera.
