Cyclist killed - bad cycle lanes - critical mass?

On 10th May a cyclist was killed by badly designed cycle lanes on Blackfriars Bridge and a bus ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/3751741.stm)
Another person's been similarly killed in Oxford today.
In some North American town, I remember that when a cyclist is killed, loads of people turn out dressed in black and do a critical mass, as a mark of respect, to show defiance and strength etc etc

ANyone up for it?

Friday's (28 May) Critical Mass will be visiting Blackfriars Bridge. Bring flowers as Vicki McCreery, who lost her life on the bridge while cycling, loved them.
