Slough Anti-Incinerator Network (SAIN) will be holding their second public meeting at 7.30pm this Thursday 27th May, at St. Mary's Church, Slough (behind Upton Hospital).
On Sunday 30th May, there will be a 'Bank Holiday March To Grundons', starting from Trelawney Avenue, Langley at 11.00am and marching to Grundons site at Colnbrook, bring placards, banners and noise etc! (approx. 3miles, fundraising BBQ afterwards!!).

Speaking at the meeting will be Miriam Kennet, Green Party candidate for Mayor of London, local BILLD/Green coalition Councillor Richard Stokes and local GP, Dr. Jerry Thompson, who will be launching new data regarding the dangerous proposal by Grundon/Slough Borough Council to build two huge waste incinerators at Colnbrook near Heathrow, one of which will burn radioactive waste.

This proposal will cause increases in cancers (especially child leukeamia), asthma, heart disease and respiritory and reproductive problems. The fallout will cover an estimated area 17miles in radius, including towns such as Slough, Langley, Iver, Hillingdon,Windsor, Staines, Hounslow, Kingston and the whole of West London.
