Police Officer stabbed in Birmingham

Divine Justice | 21.05.2004 23:19 | Repression | Birmingham | London

What goes around....comes around.

A police officer has been murdered as he tried to arrest a suspect in Birmingham. DC Michael Swindells leaves a widow and daughter who are coming to terms with the tragedy and the police "will work tirelessly to put the offender before the courts."

A Gambian, Kebba Jobe was murdered during an arrest by a police officer and leaves a widow and daughter who are coming to terms with the tragedy and the police "will work tirelessly to keep the offender out of the courts."

Fuck you.

KEBBO JOBE WAS A DRUG DEALER, WHO, THROUGH HIS OWN STUPID IDIOTIC ACTS DIED WHILE BEING ARRESTED..What an IDIOT.. hiding a bag in his mouth.

The police officer who died was a hero busy trying to protect your sorry arses from the scum of society.

Theres no equivilence between a scum dealer and a policeman.

Fucking idiot

Don't talk nonsense you cold blooded idiot. SOME police might occasionally be aggressive but that hardly means they all deserve to die. Take your childish garbage elsewhere.

Nice try rozzer. You can assuage your guilty conscience, but you can't fool the rest of us that easily. Your time will come. Remeber Blakelock.

whatever

So you're a total hypocrite.

You whinge about a criminal druggie dying through his own stupdity while being arrested. And then you threaten me about what happened to PC Blakelock (murdered by Silcott). So you think its ok for cops to get rubbed out by scum but not scum to end up dead while being arrested (even if it WAS their own fault).

Well, to be honest, one less drug dealer is one less drug dealer. GOOD RIDDENCE.

As for DC Michael Swindells, then I have nothing but sympathy and condolences for his family.. HE DIED PROTECTING THE PUBLIC FROM A KNIFE WIELDING NUTTER.

And remember, if it was one of you lot who'd been skewered by the nutter, you'd be no doubt whinging "why didn't the police stop him"... except you want us dead, but can't see the flaws in your own argument. And who do YOU call if you're being broken into.. US..

Thickie

You really gotta keep with the program man. Silcott was acquited of Blakelock's murder - the appeal court decided that your lot fitted him up. The sooner HM rozzery learns to distinguish between black and guilty the better. Then you might start catching some real criminals, for example the white trash who murdered Stephen Lawrence.

Who you gonna call...

22.05.2004 20:17

If I get broken into I call your useless shower of crap because that's what I have to do before I can make an insurance claim. Nobody expects you to catch a burglar because you're too busy killing innocent pedestrians in your big fast motor cars running red lights playing Husky and Starch.

No Justice

22.05.2004 20:21

I don't recall writing anything about anyone deserving a violent death. I was merely pointing out that while no stone will be left unturned to convict DC Swindles killer, Kebba's family have been met with lies and a cover-up from day one and the officer who murdered him has not even been supended from work. The biggest lie being that he was a drug dealer. He was a peace-loving family Rastaman with a job. Sorry he doesn't fit your stereotype THINBLUELINE aka 'sense.'

No one deserves to be attacked/killed...

22.05.2004 22:27

...for drug dealing or for being a cop.

I agree that the death of Kebba Jobe should not have happened. The police plainly overused force against him. If the police had not treated him so badly, he probably would not have ended up dead, choking as the case may be.

I also agree that DC Michael Swindells should not have been killed either. The guy was trying to prevent someone else dying but ended up dead himself. In this case, the officer should not have been alone for an issue of a guy wandering round weilding a knife. This is a failure of the police to protect the lives of their employees.

Before people jump to conclusions shouting 'Drug Dealer' or 'Serves the cop right' they should look at the situation through that person's eyes and their relative's eyes and realise that it is a tragedy whoever it happens to.

PS. Thinblueline - you are not giving a very good image of your profession, trolling independent news sites and hurling abuse at authors of articles.

PPS.Skyver Bill - you are also not being a good representative of an indymedia user. Think about your responses before you decide to fight back. Try to understand how upset people are about things.

Cops have sold out from time

22.05.2004 22:52

The cops stopped pretending to maintain law and order yonks ago. There main purpose is political, for years they have battered the shit out the working class strikers, the miners in 1984, the siege at Wapping ect ect.
If you get robbed and call the cops your lucky if they turn up. But having said that I wouldn't wish for anyone to die a violent death. Cops are just part of the flock of sheeple who do what they are told and believe what the crooks who run the world want them to. since europe has now on a par with south america it might start getting tuf in the very near future ..

bank robber

even cops are human beings - just about :)

23.05.2004 00:23

...it's just the job that gradually dehumanises them!

If we can't stop and consider things from their perspective once in a while, we become just as bad as them (ie well-programmed units willing to supress our human side, our individuality etc).

.

TBL
Good to see someone has the balls to come on here and slate the lunny left. Skydiver or what ever? You are the pits of society, nobody deserves to die least of all someone who's job it is to serve and protect the public.

Kabba who's death is tragic and my condolances go to his widow and little one, must of known the risks of stuffing a bag of Cr*p down his OWN throat. The officers on scene did thier upmost to bring him round but unfortunately they couldn't manage it.

What sort of society do you 'kin people want to live in for gods sake?

Cops are all the arseholes from school that everyone hated.

Over 1000 people killed by the police since 1969.

Still No Justice.

Still No Peace.

tired of pro-police bullshit

both tradegies

even if
"Cops are all the arseholes from school that everyone hated." which i dont think is entirely true, What are you going to do with these people after the 'anarchist revolution' or whatever, The pathological bully boy will always exist in human society, I'd rather they were cops than criminals.

not a cop

Actually Winston Silcott Didn't murder PC Blakelock

25.05.2004 17:05

Winston Silcott didn't actually murder PC Keith Blakelock even though the police did there very best to stitch him up for it.

He did murder someone but it wasn't that cop as he was off killing someone else when the cop got done on the night in question.

I suppose the point I'd really like to make here is that if anyone kills a police officer they go mad for justice, yet on the other hand if they in the line of their duties get out of hand and kill someone they (the cops) do all they can to either cover it up or avoid prosicution which was the case in the Harry Stanley killing and I'd like to point out to the wanker in his/her comment about druggies that Harry Stanley was neither a drug dealer or a criminal, yet the trigger happy cops still shot and killed him.

Were Colin Roach or Blair Peach drug dealers? They both died at the hands of the police and then there are all those people around the country who've taken a smack in the mouth from various police officers over many years, like the Birmingham 6 and the Guilford 4 who were beaten into signing confessions and which many years later the convictions were overturned.

If we really want real justice then those responsible for deaths must be held accountable, whether they are a member of the public or a police officer.

Until justice is fairly distributed then we'll continue to have demonstrations over deaths in custody.
