We need a lot of people, whoever can mobilise quickly, to meet at All Saints (MANCHESTER?)at 3.30pm. Cars, whistles, eggs all very useful. We need a lot of people, their is only 15 or so of us thus far. Help the cause, fight the war.

Warning

Posts like this should be taken with a pinch of salt. Could be I'm completely wrong, but the spelling mistakes and the clumsy phrasing suggest this could be a hoax - put together by people who would be only too happy to see a "prominent racist in town". Respond to hoaxes like this and you could, at best, be wasting your time, or, at worst, fall into an ambush or similar. These things happen.

bnp battle bus

21.05.2004 04:07

we were driving back from todmorden t'other day and found ourselves behnd a glamorous 'battle bus'. it was attractively decorated with red/white and blue and on closer inspection massive BNP placards. must have cost a lotta cash. it was turning off the main road on the east side of manchester city centre. so after we'd realised we weren't dreaming, and having no weapons to hand except for melted chocolate biscuits we pathetically swerved round it, blasted the horn and made strange finger gestures. didn't even have time to chuck the biscuits.

as there were only three people in the car, didn't feel upto following it onto the estates as needed our bones for later use.

but they are stepping up their campaign in their lovely expensive battle bus, it does need redesigning. i wonder where they keep it?

also, i didn't come yesterday cause i was a bit worried about this post. i know its tricky but a little bit more info would have helped.

anyway watch out for the bus. and keep bricks not choccie biccies in your car. you never know when you might need them.

battle bus

better than swerving round next time might be to follow the battle bus to where it's going, pick up leaflets or info about next dates instead of saying 'fuckheads', or even if you've time waiting and following it home, as you suggested. That would be really useful info. Sounds like they were on their way back from Calderdale, a large extended valley area from Yorkshire towards us where they're fielding 100 out of 400 candidates in the upcoming elections - a scary place with an already very high BNP vote.

not following buses

24.05.2004 21:22

don't worry, i'm absolutely positive that as the elections draw closer, the battle bus will be back.

i think following it would have been a bad idea actually, as it doesn't take a genius to work out you're being followed.
and one of the guys in the car was iraqi.
