On his first visit to Hungary, Noam Chomsky, author, linguist, university
professor and political activist, was the guest speaker of the Another World
is Possible! Network in the Kossuth Club, Budapest. The video of the debate

Over the two hours, Chomsky delved into the ideology of the New World
Order, placing the onus on local activists to get organised and deal with
the issues important to them - while keeping the movements decentralised
and egalitarian. When asked for a bit of 'optimism', he referred to the
Social Forum movement as being an example of how the system is not going
unchallenged and, while stressing the essential importance of the Social
Forum movement,he also raised controversial questions relating to the basic
democratic nature of the process.
