On this day in 1948, the British Mandate in Palestine came to an end and what Palestinians call the Nakba - the catastrophe - began. From the killings and expropriations of land and property by Zionist military and terrorist forces of that year, through the illegal occupation of the Occupied Territories of 1967, to the military repression of the last four years, the Palestinian people have been at the sharp end of the imperialist barbarism. The Apartheid Wall is the latest assault by the Zionist State, and has provoked mass resistance both inside Palestine and internationally.

With coaches arranged from Cardiff, Southampton, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and York, this National Day of Action Against the Wall focussed on a rally in Trafalgar Square and a demonstration to Downing Street.
