Help us to remove BNP school governor in Devon

A very concerned and cheated parent! | 18.05.2004 10:16 | Anti-racism

BNP organiser and European Election candidate Tony North is a parent governor at Furzeham Primary School in Brixham, Devon. Contary to local media reports (see below) the fact is that not a single parent voted for him to become a governor as his was the only name in the hat and he was appointed without an election. As parents, were denied the right to have our say. I'm now inviting you to have yours by contacting the Headteacher.

Sorry, I'm not quite with this....

If you object to this man why didn't YOU stand against him as school govenor?

If he was the only name in the hat then he won, fair and square.

We live, apparently, in a democracy.

Which means he has every right to his beliefs, warts and all.

LIVE WITH IT, Indymedia readers.

Uh, perhaps you could have stood yourself if you were so concerned? As much as I hate the BNP, you can't claim it's unfair he was elected to a position if he's the only one to have gotten off his arse to stand!
