These lands of exploitation and their respective encampments belonging to REPSOL, MAXUS and PLUSPETROL, have been occupied by the guaranis that demand, among other things, the recuperation of the hydrocarbons and their use to the benefit of the indigenous communities and the poor social classes in the country. The rebellious indigenous affirmed that if their demands are not met, they will close the valves that send gas to Brazil and Argentina beginning Monday. This action could cause the military to act and provoke a massacre or confrontation.

In addition, beginning May 1 more mobilizations and roadblocks will take place, as announced by various sectors (primarily the COB and the National Peasant Confederation {CSUTCB}).

All indications are that the Bolivian people are preparing a new uprising against the carrying off of their resources, usurped and exploited by international businesses.
