Sack the Editors!

Chris Herz | 15.05.2004 18:33 | Indymedia | World

The ownership of the Mirror sacked its editor after admitting the photos of British soldier abusing Iraqi captives had been faked.

Quite justly, the editor of the Daily Mirror, Piers Morgan was dismissed by the ownership following the admission that a couple of photographs had been faked. These pictures, showing British soldiers following the example of their US leaders, beating and tormenting captured Iraqis were published and had created a sensation here in the USA as well as in Britain.

Question: When will the editors of all the newspapers and TV and radio which unhesitatingly published every lie by Tony Blair and George Bush share the same fate?
When will those who allowed their media to become the stenographers to power, beating the drums for war need a career change?

I'm a mere foreigner, a US citizen, so perhaps I do not understand the rules in British journalism.
