END THE TORTURE - BRING THE TROOPS HOME!

*EMERGENCY DEMONSTRATION*

END THE TORTURE
BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW
Saturday May 22nd, 11am
Central London, assemble Embankment (nearest tube Embankment, Charing Cross)
March to Trafalgar Square

The whole world is horrified at the terrible pictures of torture of Iraqi prisoners now emerging. They are the tip of an iceberg of abuse - dozens of civilians have died in custody of British and American troops in occupied Iraq.
The Stop the War Coalition has responded to calls from groups and individuals for an emergency demonstration to respond to the atrocities being committed in Iraq.
We are demanding the withdrawal of all troops from Iraq and for the Iraqi people to be allowed to govern themselves. Leaflets for the demonstration are available from the office.

Called by the Stop the War Coalition, CND and the Muslim Association of Britain

The torture photos were fakes!

There was no torture of prisoners in Iraq, the photos were expossed as fakes weeks ago and even the Daily Mirror has now admitted it was duped by them and has offered a full apoligy!

What planet are the stop the war coalition on by insisting the photos were real in the face of all the evidence that they are fakes?

Get Real!

No torture? You get real! War, occupation and torture walk hand in hand. We didn't stop the war, they invaded, they occupy and they torture. We do have photos - the ones of US soldiers. Are we to suppose that British soldiers aren't up to the same?

I wish I could think that torture didn't happen, but the reality is a sad one.

Plenty of evidence of UK abuse

There is plenty of evidence of UK torture in Iraq. The Red Cross and Amnesty International have documented it in their reports and UK soldiers returning from Iraq have spoken about the abuse. What sort of culture are we living in where something doesn't exist if there isn't a photo to prove it?
