The first CUEUS event for this term will be Prof. Ricardo Petrella's return
visit to Cambridge. He will address a particularly hot debate in the
context of 'top up fees' THIS FRIDAY APRIL 23rd from 5 to 6pm in the Mill
Lane Lecture Rooms in Mill Lane (next to the Careers Centre).
Prof. Ricardo Petrella is a leading intellectual and activist both
influential within the European Union institutions and internationally
amongst numerous social associations.
At Cambridge University Prof. Petrella will identify 5 traps in the current
models of University. Are we evolving towards a true 'knowledge based
society' or simply consolidating an 'exclusive intellectual aristocracy'?
