Want to know more about GATS? What is the General Agreement on Trade in Services and does does it impact on you and on the poorest people in the world? Who Benefits from GATS? What can we do to stop it?

If you want answers to the above questions, put Saturday the 22nd of May in your diary. The World Development Movement (a good NGO working for "Justice for the worlds poor") is holding it's regional campaign day in Cambridge at the Friends Meeting House on Jesus Lane (see below for a Map).

From the WDM Website:

"Eryl McNally MEP will tell of the progress since the collapse of last September's Cancun talks (she was there). David Margolies (AUT) and Christina Parsons (WDM's Campaign's Officer), will be speaking about international trade and the threat to basic services - both globally and in the UK. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Plus workshops on campaign issues, lobbying local authorities and campaigning with trade unions - and the story of how one WDM group launched a directory of Fairtrade outlets in their town."
