Gathering at Height Gate

heather | 15.04.2004 10:48

More info now we've found a field!!

We are going to meet up with lots of other lovely people at Height Gate camping barn between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden for nights of Fri 21st and Sat 22nd May. no "whoops heres one i made earlier" agenda. no party politics. There are 3 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, meeting room, toilet block and sleeping barn. Its up a track (about a mile) so people who can, can walk and we can also sort a minibus out to take people who need it up the track - not people who can't be arsed to walk :) It is isolated, beautiful, lovely views, and cheap for the size. It sleeps 30 in the house, 15 on the sleeping platform in the barn.
there is room for 4/5 tents outside as well
if lots of people come, it'll be cheaper than camping in a field. it works out at around a couple of quid a person.
If you want to come, please bring a sleeping mat and bag. There are people interested in coming from Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester. The idea is chat with each other, do a bit of networking, and see what develops out of the weekend. Its hosted by people who are involved with Manchester Social Forum. If you want to know a bit more about us, have a look at the website.
it'd be good to have some idea roughly of numbers so,if you can, please email me.
Thanks

if lots of people come, it'll be cheaper than camping in a field. if they don't, we'll just have a whipround and see what happens. if you really can't help us pay for it, its ok. you're welcome. If its full, it works out at around a couple of quid a person.

if you want to know more about anything about this weekend, ask
cheers
