WAR POVERTY & RESISTANCE CHALLENGING THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY
SATURDAY 24 APRiL 10am-5.30pm, London South Bank University, London Road, SE1 (Elephant & Castle tube Bakerloo line exit) click here for map
The year of the global anti-war movement has also been a year of huge protests at the G8 in Switzerland, mass protests against neo-liberalism in France, the wrecking of the WTO at Cancun, Mexico, and the spectacular World Social Forum in Mumbai, India.
The Project for a New American Century has been weakened. But the movement for global peace and justice faces huge challenges and big questions. This year the European Social Forum will be in London. Next year Britain is hosting the G8.
This conference is a chance to discuss with leading international activists how to broaden our movement further, and counter the lies of the media and the attacks on our civil liberties—in short to debate the next steps in the struggle for another world.
