Cannon Wharf has finally been evicted after two decades. The remaining occupant, Jeff Pennington was woken by bailiffs breaking the locks to the gates this morning, hours before he was due to attend the funeral of his father, who died in an accident on the river Wensum last month.

Members of Norwich Anarchists and other friends turned up to try to support Jeff today but the the lack of numbers and crap playschool tactics of the bailiffs, made stopping the eviction impossible.

One of our group who was being manhandled out of the yard by bailiffs found himself being arrested and charged with ABH. His crime? One of the bailiffs who was trying to push him around slipped and tapped his head on the floor. (The real crime was the bailiffs cowboy boots that he turned up in!) The bailiff then proceeded to lie on his face pretending to be unconscious for ten minutes. Talk about milking it! He could have won an Oscar! Then after spreading the blood across his head a little for maximum affect he carried on humping large objects around the yard. The photos of this prick in action should be here soon, and will definitely be handed to the solicitors to be used in any defense. Some people will try anything for compensation.

Cannon Wharf is now to go the same way as the rest of the Kings Street and Riverside areas of Norwich. New unaffordable housing for rich twats and nothing for the local community. The developers? Manchester based P J Livesey, who we promise have not had the last laugh. Maybe readers would also like to keep tabs on their 'regeneration' of Kings Street and their new 154 yuppie flats they plan to build on Jeffs land.
