Aldermaston March - A quick roundup

Around 250 people walked from London to Aldermaston, starting on Friday 9th of April and arriving on Monday 12th of April, with stops at Southall, Slough, and Reading.
The send-off saw over 1000 people at Trafalgar Square, and a march from Trafalgar Square to hidepark, with only a part of those then continuing all the way to Southall, where the marchers stayed overnight. On Saturday, about 230 marchers went on to Uxbridge, and then - partly via a canal path - to Slough. Sunday was the longest day - 18 miles - from Slough to Reading, most of which was done on the pavement under a section 12 threat.
Monday the marchers were joined by several feeder marchers - the youth and student cnd march from Oxford, a march from Southampton, and others - as well as people joining in only for the day, and over 500 people walked the 10 miles from Reading to Aldermaston, where about 200 people awaited them, with food, water and music. At Aldermaston itself, people walked around the base, redecorating the fence.

The registrations for food, accommodation and luggage transport closed a week early because too many people wanted to come. We did massive last year, this year we're doing effective (no offence to STW intended)
