SE regional neo Labour's Annual conference in Folkestone Kent,

south east Regional neo -Labour Party is to hold it's annual conference in
Tory leader Michael Howard's constituency of Folkestone in Kent.

Happening THIS Saturday and Sunday April 17 & 18.

Held at the new conference centre of the Leas Cliff Hall. Situated on The Leas
on the top and side of the cliff. See below for some directions.

This is also a call for protest groups to attend this conference in or around the
environs.
There are few local groups to mount any demos as such and at the moment I am not aware
of any one or groups that intend to hold any demos on either day !
There's perhaps not too much in the way of 'issues' locally. the main one is still
racism and anti asylum seekers -even though there's not many here.
There is the nearby nuclear power stations (Dungeness A & B) so any anti nuke groups
might like to come. There's also a planned windfarm on a small part of Romney Marsh
that the local (Lib Dem) council is opposing- now gone to a poss public Enquiry)

The Hall in about 10 mins walk from Folkestone Central rail station (via Castle HillAve)
or 6-7 mins from Bus station (in town centre). Motorway via M20.

From London - Rail Charing Cross (about 1h 30-45 mins) Only 6 coaches a day from
Victoria- last one back about 5 or 6 pm. (up to 3 hrs travel!).

Howard's constituency office is in town centre, but its not one of his surgery days (Sat)
(4 Westcliffe Gdns opp' Folkestone Herald -local rag office).

Anyway, I hope there will be some groups coming down on one or both days to demo this
conference.????
