Activists from Faslane Peace Camp have blocked the entrance to Faslane naval base this morning, for a second morning of direct actions in a row. Police refrained from arresting the campaigners, who are calling for the immediate disarmament of Trident.

On Monday morning, 4 young activists from an internet based group called, "Hip forums", aided and abetted by the peace campers, after a short training, blocked the south gate to faslane using steel lock on tobes reinforced with concrete. The police refrained from arresting the protestors, and instead diverted traffic to the north gate, causing some disruption.

On Monday afternoon, there was the mass demo organised by Scottish CND, which followed on from the rally from Faslane Peace Camp to the North Gate. Several hundred people attended to hear speakers including Faslane Peace Camper, Morag Forbes, and a representative of "Eye witness Iraq", who had just returned from the war torn country.

This morning, Faslane Peace Camp and Trident Ploughshares did another surprise action, and blockaded the North Gate causing further disruption to the base, and once again the police arrested no-one.
