Thanks everyone

A big thanks to everyone who came and supported the protest outside the Indonesian embassy last night. We only called this at the last minute because of the atacking of a Christian church by Muslim extremists over the Easter weekend and expected perhaps 20 or 30 people. There must have been 300 !! At least 100 of those we discovered had come after seeing the posting on Indymedia so thanks to everyone here.

We presented a letter to an official from the Embassy and he agreed to meet a representative later this week to talk through our concerns.

David who took a lot of pictures is away from a computer until Thursday but then we will put up some photos for all to see.

We are putting together a web-site and I'll let you have details as soon as it is up.

We would like to add our thanks to everyone who came last night. We saw the call on indy-media and decided to go along at the last minute.

The people from the embassy were at first surprised to see us but listened respectfully and discussed with us our concerns. I didn't realise there is going to be another meeting later this week so thats great news as well.

There was a real cross section of people from atheists like us to devout Christians and even two Indonesian Muslims who shared our concerns about the attacks.

Meeting Date set

The date for the meeting has now been set for Friday at a venue in London. I will post details of the result probably early Saturday
